Overview
We were proud to collaborate with Midas Construction as a sub-contractor for the development of a new Waitrose store on the A30 London Road in Bagshot. This high-profile project required precise planning, technical expertise, and exceptional execution to deliver a facility that met the client’s standards and community expectations.
Project Scope
Our scope of works spanned a variety of disciplines, reflecting the complexity and multifaceted nature of this construction project:
Car Park Construction: Development of a new on-site car park and overflow parking area, complete with a sustainable drainage system. This included the installation of an attenuation tank to manage surface water effectively, ensuring long-term sustainability and compliance with local environmental regulations.
Service Yard: Construction of a concrete slab finish service yard to support logistical and operational needs of the store.
Substructure Works: Execution of substructure elements, including pad foundations to provide structural support for the building. This phase also included the installation of internal drainage systems, utilities, and a power floated concrete floor slab for the main store area, offering a high-quality, durable finish suitable for retail operations.
Retaining Structures: Installation of sheet-piled retaining structures for the car park. These structures were capped with a capping beam and faced with brickwork to enhance both functionality and aesthetics.
