Hope and Clay were engaged by Francis Construction to perform drainage diversion works to facilitate the construction of a new data centre at the Slough Trading Estate. The project required careful planning and precision to manage site-specific challenges such as a high water table.
Project Scope
The detailed scope of works included:
Sewer Diversion: Rerouting and extending existing 600mm and 675mm foul water sewers around the footprint of the new building.
Manhole Construction: Installation of new manholes and connections into existing Thames Water manholes under a Section 106 agreement.
Groundwater Management: To address the high water table, trenching was supported by sheet piling to cut off the water table, and sump pumps were utilized to control water within the excavations.
This project highlights our capability to deliver critical infrastructure adjustments for commercial developments, meeting both client requirements and regulatory standards.
