Overview
Hope and Clay undertook three extensive infrastructure packages to support the Kings Gate and Abbey Field housing developments in Abingdon. These works were critical to enabling the new residential communities by ensuring effective connectivity and functionality.
Project Scope
The comprehensive scope of works included:
S278 Junction Works: Construction of new junctions to integrate the developments with existing road networks, including all associated works.
Drainage Installation: Installation of new foul and stormwater drainage systems within an existing carriageway, executed with careful planning to avoid disruptions to existing utilities.
Box Culvert Installation: Managed and installed a new box culvert using a precise sliding installation method to safely navigate overhead cables.
Roundabout Upgrades: Upgrading two existing roundabouts to enhance traffic flow and accessibility.
Traffic Management: Implementation of robust traffic management measures to maintain traffic flow during construction, ensuring minimal disruption.
