Overview
Hope and Clay served as the Principal Contractor for the infrastructure works package for a new Household Waste Recycling Facility in Newbury. This project required precise execution to deliver essential facilities supporting sustainable waste management in the region.
Project Scope
The detailed scope of works included:
S278 Road Widening: Widening of the existing A339 under a Section 278 agreement to improve access to the facility.
Earthworks Operations: Completion of cut and fill bulk earthworks to prepare the site for development.
New Roads: Construction of new roads with associated tarmac surfacing, kerbing, and drainage systems to ensure efficient vehicular access.
Concrete Slabs: Installation of concrete slabs to provide durable and functional surfaces for the facility's operations.
Utilities Installation: Provision and installation of all new utilities required for the facility’s operation.
Security Features: Installation of security perimeter fencing, a new barrier system, and CCTV with associated trenching and ductwork for enhanced site safety.
